Item Description
16.5" tall high quality doll w/stuffed cloth body, formed and starched linen face w/painted details. Outfit is combination of felt and velveteen w/cotton bandana. Knickerbocker, 1940s. Missing string tag but was made as a companion to Knickerbocker's rare Matador doll (see previous item). Doll represents one of the "Five Men In Funny Hats," bullfight aficionados who pick Ferdinand as the bull to go to Madrid. Doll is missing high hat and shows some scattered wear to paint hair and eyebrows. Some scattered staining to feet, pants and one hand. Slight dent to tip of nose. Fine overall. Extremely rare, this being the first we've seen in our 54 years.
