Item Description
Lot of five 11x14" cards from the 1926 classic WWI film. Includes title card and four others. Each is embossed to represent paint strokes from brushes. Title card features large text block w/WWI soldier holding swooning woman. 1.25x1/8" chip to left margin and some corner tip wear, handling wear and aging but card image still remains bright and glossy. Fine. Second card has image of man kissing woman's shoulder. Ten pin holes on outer margins and a 1x2" area of moisture staining in upper left margin, some dust soiling to right margin, lt. aging. VG. Third card features bar maid standing amidst group of soldiers and city officials. .25" corner tip chip to upper right corner, some handling wear, 2x1/8" section of chipping in lower left margin. Image remains bright and clean. Lt. aging but VG. Fourth card features art of bar maid covering her ears to block out the loud singing of two drunks on other side of bar. Moderate moisture staining, handling wear, creasing, dust soiling. Eight pin holes in margins, 3" pencil mark on bar maid's face. Good. Final card has image of doughboys charging across No Man's Land toward an enemy position. .25" area of surface paper lifting in lower left corner and a .75x1/8" area of chipping along upper left margin. Three pin holes in margin, lt. handling and aging but image is very bright and glossy, Fine.
