Item Description
14" tall stuffed vinyl body doll (w/stitched outer seams) w/soft rubber head and vinyl cape. "Mighty Mouse - Terry Toon" on chest and Terrytoons, Inc. copyright on back of belt. Original cardboard string tag around wrist notes Softskin Circus doll by Softskin Toys, Inc. 1940s. Color variety, another version was produced w/red and yellow colors reversed and different cape. This example's cape is as issued. Vinyl shows some minor edge wear along stitched edges, but is free of any splits/punctures and shows just lt. scattered dust soiling. Head has even moderate aging and some scattered paint wear to lips and nose. VF overall. Not to be confused w/any of the plush Mighty Mouse dolls from the 1950s by Ideal. This is infinitely rarer than any of those and is among the rarest and most sought after Mighty Mouse items as well as being one of the first pieces of Mighty Mouse merchandise produced. Rare and just the second we've offered in our 54 years, and this is the first we've seen w/original string tag.
