Item Description
Pair of premium items related to Buddhist superhero character The Green Lama, who first appeared in comic books in Crestwood Publications' Prize Comics #7 (Dec. 1940). Lot includes 2.25x3.5" double-sided card similar in design to playing card, w/"The Green Lama" portrait and Sanskrit text on one side w/playing card design on back. Comes w/5.25x8.5" single-sided letter explaining card and how to use it in a regular deck of playing cards to perform magic tricks. Letter reads in part - "The Effect Of The Trick Is That You Have A Card Selected From A Deck Of Playing Cards. It Is Put Back In The Deck And You Magically Cause A Card To Reverse Itself. It Is The 'Green Lama.'" Letter is folded as issued and has even lt. aging. Both card and letter are in choice, NM condition. Obscure and highly desirable Golden Age comic books related premiums. Rare and just the second of either we've offered in our 54 years.
