Item Description
Two different pin-the-tail-like Buster Brown games were produced by Selchow & Righter, c. 1910. Both featured the similar graphics of Buster and Tige and word balloon text reading "Resolved! That The Prettiest Girl Is The One I Want To Pin My Tie On -- Buster Brown" while Tige says "Funny Place For A Necktie - Gee!" 7.75x9.75x.5" deep box w/illustrated lid comes w/cloth "Buster Brown Necktie Party" consisting of 24.5x29.75" printed sheet w/12 neckties neatly cut out of left side as intended. Box shows moderate edge/corner tip wear but retains its shape and is Fine overall. Cloth has some scattered aging but is VF. 7x9-1/8" envelope w/matching illustration comes w/18x30" oilcloth w/matching illustration and uncut neckties, each bearing a number (differing from boxed example, which were not numbered). Images are of smaller size than boxed version and there are notable differences between the two depictions of Tige. Folded as issued w/some lt. wear along fold lines. Fine/VF. Envelope is Exc. Scarce.
