Item Description
15x33.75" custom made framed display. Both pieces produced for the 1915 Massachusetts ballot measure. At left is a figural "Votes For Women Nov. 2" bird w/additional text "Mass. Woman Suffrage Assn. Gertrude H. Leonard, Teresa A. Crowley." Light bends, typical pin hole in eye and a couple of stray spots of white paint. VF. At right is a 23.25" long silk screened felt pennant reading "Vote Yes" w/matching graphic of the figural bird at left in display. Missing streamers and scattered spots of age. Fine. The figural metal bird ranks among the most iconic suffrage items and is available infrequently. The pennant is an outstanding rarity, that we can't recall encountering in our 54 years and is perhaps unique. A special opportunity to obtain a matched pair of cornerstone suffrage artifacts.
