Item Description
Original mailing envelope w/typed recipient name/address and "Captain Midnight" return address has lt. aging and mailing wear. VF. Contains 3.25x6.5" folder which opens to three panels. Issued as an Ovaltine premium in 1942. Interior panels describe use and responsibilities for those receiving the Flight Commander Flying Cross brass premium badge. Trace aging and unused. Exc. Folder is much scarcer than the badge itself. 1.5" tall brass has "Capt. Midnight" bar pin and "Flight Commander" pendant hanger w/"Awarded For Distinguished Service - Captain Midnight" text on back. High grade example w/full luster. NM. Comes w/5.25x5.5" order card that was issued as an insert in the 1942 club manual. Card notes Flying Cross badge could be obtained for three Ovaltine seals and 10¢. Perforated portion at left has been removed but is included. Some tiny wear along separation. VF.
