2.5x3.5". The 1986-87 Fleer Basketball set was a landmark offering. After the expiration of Topps license to produce NBA basketball cards following the 1981-82 season, there would be no major card manufacturer producing basketball cards for the next four years until Fleer finally obtained the rights to produce NBA cards in 1986. Due to the four year absence of basketball cards, all of the rookies who entered the league from 1982-86 had no nationally distributed basketball cards, thus, making this Fleer edition, the highly sought after source for rookie cards of NBA stars: Jordan, Olajuwon, Barkley, Malone and many others. Rather than follow Topps' long standing tradition of adding bubble gum to their packs of sports cards, Fleer instead opted to include one of eleven different stickers in each package of their 1986-87 basketball series. Chicago Bulls. Michael Jordan was a 6-time World Champion, 5-time NBA MVP, 14-time All-Star and Rookie of the Year. Widely considered to be the G.O.A.T. of the NBA, MJ was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009. CSG Subgrades are: Centering 6.5, Corners 8.5, Edges 8 and Surface 9.
