Item Description
19" long tin litho car made in Spain by Rico. Car has Ford Galaxie markings on car grill and rear. This is 1964 convertible with yellow color. Although car is 1964 model, toy dates to c. 1967 given the obvious Beatles Sergeant Pepper era influence in design. Four separate included vinyl figures of band w/beatnik hair, mustaches and goatees playing instruments. Car has "Los Ye-Yes" text on hood with psychedelic flower design and musical notes scattered all over car in addition to images of cat, glasses, flowers, pipe, guitar, umbrella, eye and many other interesting designs. "Eurovision" & "Festival" text on trunk. Plated front and back bumpers, grill, and side accents, one side accent is missing 2" piece at front. One of four door handles is missing. Battery-operated Bump-and-Go and music functions are no longer working, battery box brass terminals have file marks, missing springs and lt. oxidation. Motor did run when batteries were tested, so possible functionality. Lt. aging/wear, small nicks, scratches and oxidation spots. A few small paint rubs on figures. Displays Fine overall. Rare and hard to find in any condition.
