Item Description
From the 1996 Walter Gibson estate sale. 23” wide by 39.5” tall wooden swivel chair used by Gibson at the desk where he wrote many of “The Shadow” stories. The desk this chair sat at sold in the estate sale for over $4,000. Signs of wear from years of use with ends of arms having wear to original finish. Still sturdy and Fine. Comes with 16.5” wide by 32.5” tall wrought iron and wood dictionary stand. Legs and decorative cage has stand for hinged wooden dictionary holder. Stand could be positioned however you desire. Scattered moderate oxidation to wheeled base and stand as well as hinges for dictionary holder. This has 1" piece of one bracket missing but still firmly attached. Right-hand side wooden portion has 3” wide by 8” long area of discoloration to finish. VG. Unique items used by the creator of The Shadow to help bring his stories to life.
