Item Description
2.5x13.75" long w/1.5" deep bristles. Oval portrait w/text "Maj. Gen. Wm. H. Harrison" below. Floral motif w/black accent lines have moderate wear consistent w/light use most notably some paint loss at top right edge and in design at top. Fine. Relative to the low population of these fantastic 1840 campaign men's clothing brushes this example is clean w/bright colors and ranks as the finest we've encountered in our 54 years. A matching Van Buren is known to exist. This is confirmed to be an 1840 campaign item and perhaps the quintessential dimensional artifact of Harrison's victorious campaign.
