Item Description
From a 1948 series of 10 different watches and those characters appear on illustrated cardboard box lid in birthday scene. Watch has 1.25x1.5" metal case, straps are green vinyl-covered leather. This is Bambi birthday watch variety w/"Luminous" dial that still glows brightly. Dial has Bambi portrait and regular watch arms w/glow accents. This deluxe set comes w/4" long plastic pen w/gold tone metal cap that features wrap-around Donald Duck decal. Some even aging to decal but o/w Exc. Watch straps have original foil price tag w/"Ingersoll" name and noting original purchase price of "$7.95 Plus Tax." Crystal is loose but stays in place for display purposes. Dial shows some trace wear. Running and Exc., old store stock. The same box was used for all 10 watches w/inkstamp name on one side panel to designate character, this example w/"Bambi" name. Box is complete w/die-cut insert and has scattered corner tip/edge wear w/some color rubs but remains tight and Fine. Watch is rare in this high grade condition.
