Item Description
c. late 1940s. First is 10.5x13.5" die-cut cardboard display sign with easel back. Designed to hold pen set manufactured by Everlast. Display has surface dust, creases, a dark ink spot behind image of Lone Ranger and .5" wide moisture mark along bottom edge. Color remains strong. Overall VG. Rare. Only second we've seen. Next is 3.5x5.25x.5" deep box that holds "Silver Bullet Pen Set/Genuine Leather Cartridge Holder." Old clear tape repair along front. Obvious handling wear, creases, color loss. Box Good. 2x5" genuine leather cartridge holder with three 3.25" long bullet-shaped pens. Each pen with different color ink. Each pen has image of Lone Ranger/Silver or Tonto inside horseshoe design. Text on each "Blue-Lone Ranger's Secret Code Pen/Red-Danger Signal Pen/Green-Tonto's Own Pen." Ink has dried. The Lone Ranger, Silver, Tonto are embossed on the leather holder that is designed to slip over a belt. Set is Exc. Lot also includes 5 different ads from various publications. Nice compliment to the lot.
