Item Description
5.25x7x10" tall toy painted tin tricycle w/wooden Ignatz Mouse figure that has leather ears and cloth over wire arms and tail w/wooden tip. Has attached pull cord w/wooden ball on end. Chein, ©1932 King Features Syndicate Inc. Decal on body has "Ignatz Mouse" name and KFS copyright. Decal has two tiny flakes at bottom left/right, but most text remains. This toy was produced w/two different hand varieties; this features round wooden hands (other variety featured wooden discs w/painted hands). As toy is pulled along, Ignatz's legs move as if peddling the bike. Underside has bellows mechanism (loose from underside but still attached to rear axle) which also moves, however, it no longer produces a squeak. One ear has some moderate creases w/flaking of black color, o/w toy shows just trace wear and is VF overall. Desirable comic character toy, of which we have only offered a couple in our 54 years.
