Item Description
25x37" frame w/18.5x29.5"opening. Newsprint poster w/headline "The Fascists Have Already Decided In Advance To Murder Chairman Bobby Seale In The Electric Chair" followed by a long statement from "Eldridge Cleaver Minister Of Information Black Panther Party". Distributed in the early 1970s for legal defense after Seale was charged w/conspiracy and inciting a riot during the Democratic National Convention in 1968. Seale credited Emory's image w/helping save his life. Not examined out of frame. Three horizontal and one vertical fold w/age toning along lines and trivial separations at junctions. VF. This historically significant Panther artifact is professionally framed and makes for a striking display piece.
