Item Description
1.75" no maker. This is quite different than the usually seen Patterson button with him looking right, eyes closed, against gray background. This photo shows smiling face, eyes wide open, and he wears a boxing robe. Likely issued c. 1959-1961. In 1959, Ingemar Johansson defeated Patterson for the heavyweight title but in 1960 and 1961 Patterson took back and successfully defended the title. Rare. NM. Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Example.
