Item Description
Single-sided 7-5/8x11" flyer promotes the forming of a Mickey Mouse Club at the Venetian Theatre in Hillboro, OR. Theater's manager contacted local merchants to promote the club's forming. Each prospective member had to visit one of the stores listed for application blank, fill it out and bring it along w/flyer to be admitted free to the opening show of the club. Flyer features great full body images of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Flyer has evenly tanned w/age and upper left has 3" corner crease, but this blends and is only noticeable upon close inspection. Displays VF. Rare and the only example we've seen of any club promotional flyer in this format/style. Comes w/trio of club items, issued by the Fox B. and R. Theatre of Aberdeen, WA, all addressed to same recipient. Envelope w/illustrated "Mickey Mouse Club" return address shows Mickey wearing club button. Top has been opened resulting in uneven top edge and small portion of Mickey's face is missing. VG. Membership card has neatly inked name as well as that of "Chief Mickey Mouse." Reverse has "Mickey Mouse Club Creed." Moderate aging to back and scattered handling creases. Fine. Comes w/complimentary pass w/Mickey bkg. image and inked recipient name, allowing her and a friend free admission. Theater name has same inked correction as seen on envelope. Card has some lt. scattered staining and is VF overall.
