Item Description
17.5x24" matte w/13.25x19.5" opening. Known to be produced by Lincoln Lithography Co. Portrait of an African American farmer from Greenwood, MS, by Danny Lyon, a noted photojournalist who was the staff photographer for Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). Mounted to board w/trimmed edges nearly flush w/matting causing the loss of SNCC text and address typically present at bottom. Moderate handling and edge wear. VG still displaying nicely as matted. One from a series of five posters featuring Lyon's images that have become iconic in the bastion of SNCC and the civil rights movement.
