Item Description
In 1983 Hasbro/Aviva planned, but did not bring into production, a toyline based on the 1982 Jim Henson/Frank Oz movie The Dark Crystal. The line would have included six basic figures and three larger beasts. Each basic figure was to come w/one piece of the crystal which could be assembled by collecting all six figures. While prototypes were created, the line was ultimately not produced. Offered here is 8" tall hand-painted hard resin 2-Up hardcopy prototype of Skeksis chamberlain, Skeksil. Prototype has pinned parts, including head and arms and comes w/two prototype swords; one painted and one unpainted. Painted sword is missing upper third of blade and unpainted sword is broken at bottom third. Good to VG. Figure has 1.5x2" area of missing paint of back of cloak and arms show scattered paint wear. Tiny nick to tip of collar and small edge chip on side of collar. VG/Fine overall.
