Item Description
5.5x8" pistol shaped die-cut cardboard. Inner front has paper insert with image of American bald eagle clutching US flag. MGM movie ad appears in gun blast w/image of Chaney as Sgt. O'Hara w/pistol and reads "Tell It To The Marines.". Lindo Theatre Ad, March 1926. Lt. aging/trace wear. Appears unused. VF. This advertising piece was for the b/w silent picture featuring Lon Chaney in one of his non-makeup roles. Story features a love triangle that unfolds in China and a battle w/a warlord's bandit brigade. The role of the bandit chief was played by Warner Oland of Charlie Chan fame. Great piece of cinema history and scarce.
