Item Description
c. early 1950s. Both puppets made by National Mask And Puppet Co. Cloth bodies, rubber heads, felt hands. Berle is 9.5" tall. Body has scattered aging/staining and head has hardened with age. Color rubs to raised portions of hair and lips. VG. Jolson 9" tall. Head has hardened with age. Jolson is depicted in black face, for his role in the famous film "The Jazz Singer." Back of head indented and has hardened as such. Scattered aging/soiling to body. Fine. Both are scarce. From the Andy Levison Collection.
