Lot of five highly detailed, typically 9" to 9.5" tall. All c. 1960s. Lot includes the following as noted on original Steiff cloth tags: 7071-Hansel (who is missing part of tag with number but this is definitely Hansel), 7072-Gretel, 7073-King(not shown in photo but has metal crown), 7074-Princess. All have original tags below neckline and aside from mentioned tag defect for Hansel all are complete and overall Exc. Also included is the famous Mecki from Steiff's hedgehog line. Cloth label has piece missing but does have Steiff tag at neckline. Brown staining around patches on pants are intended as produced, representing mud stains. All puppets have soft pliable vinyl heads with life-like hair/fur. Lot is Exc. From the Andy Levison collection.
