Item Description
33x41" frame w/26x34.5" opening. "H.C. Tunison Publisher" at bottom center margin. Design features large semi-circular portraits of candidates flanked by draped American flags w/an image of a winged Lady Liberty between. Additional imagery includes oval portraits of past Presidents, the White House, candidates' biographies and the "Republican Platform." Typical waviness w/scattered ridges that break the surface paper contained mostly to edges. Overall moderate color fade and scattered age. VG. Elegantly framed behind conservation plexiglass. These "political charts" are a long tradition covering many campaigns from the 1850s to 1880s. While we've encountered a number of different design varieties for many campaigns this is the first of this design featuring these candidates we've encountered in our 55 years.
