10.5" long tin litho by Masudaya Toys, Japan 1950s. Toy is nicely detailed including signs with fire prevention slogans on hood, sides and rear. Smokey name is on his hat and hubcaps. On rear deck is separate attached fire extinguisher with hose and shovel. Toy works and actions include bump-and-go, flashing light and beeping noise. Few tiny paint nicks and a few scratches on windshield as produced. Exc. A scarce toy nicely depicting this American icon.
