Item Description
First is quite large tab 1.5x2" plus unbent stem. This was from Nov. 14, 1966 successful Ali title defense. The Clay or Ali name controversy was avoided by just a slogan under both photos: "'He's the Greatest'". Rare and NM. Second is 1.75", no maker, c. 1967 when Ali was stripped of title for refusing military induction. Muchinsky notes some refer to it as Ali's "protest" button. At the top of his blurry fist is a small light tan age mark. Rest is clean. VF. Scarce. Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Examples.
