3x9". Silk. One of only two jugate designs shown in Sullivan and Fischer ribbon book. Top edge text reads "Alone But Not Deserted" w/Texas star and For President James K. Polk/For Vice President George M. Dallas portraits. Andrew Jackson quote below Dallas's name reads "Let Polk, Dallas And Texas Be The Watch Word And Counter Sign And Victory Is Certain." Fabric separation at center and horizontal pull between text and star top. Age spots, corner loss bottom right and three holes at right of Polk w/one affecting wreath. Professional conservation and lining. VG.
