Item Description
Lot of six from Zionist, Sons of Zion and Hadassah New York City area delegate. Founded in 1897 as the Federation of American Zionists, after the famous  legal scholar Louis Brandeis became involved in 1912, membership grew rapidly reaching 200,000 in 1917 and bringing the new name Zionist Organization of America. The group went into the 1940s and war years with around 165,000 members. These six ribbon badges (each has a pin) were used by Morton and Anna Gross as "Delegate" (two different), "Alternate" (two different), "Hostess" and "Bazaar Committee". A few minor fabric creases. In photo order the dates are NYC 1943 (2), Long Branch, NJ 1944, two undated (one names Bronx) and one NYC from 1947. VF to Exc. Rare.
