Item Description
11x14” lobby card for the 1941 film starring Lon Chaney Jr. Card has Chaney towering over Evelyn Ankers. What is unusual about this is Chaney is depicted wearing no clothes and totally covered in fur, unlike how he appeared in film. Card has moderate wear to margins including some staining and insect damage along top margin resulting in two small holes. Reverse has moderate aging, however all could be easily matted out. Small minor color rubs to image area which do not greatly detract from overall appearance. Overall VG but would mat to a VF appearance. Title card comes with two glossy stills also from the original release of the film, one showing Chaney as the Wolfman in steel vice trap and another showing him as alter-ego Larry Talbot with co-star Evelyn Ankers. Wolfman still has .25” right margin trim and both have some stress hairlines to finish, only noticeable in reflected light. Handling wear with some soiling along margins. Talbot still has 1/8x.75” sliver off upper left-hand margin. VG/Fine.
