Item Description
4" long tin litho with wood hubs and rubber tires. c. 1936. Made by Joseph Schneider. Nicely illustrated box includes scene on two side panels of race cars for Donald, Minnie and Pluto although these cars were never produced for Minnie and Pluto. They were produced for Mickey and Donald and came in several colors, this yellow variety is scarce. One side panel has designated .5x2" block where text was printed to note contents but this has been covered with black ink. Some additional scattered ink stains appear on side panels but box remains tight and glossy with choice color. Aside from the ink, VF. Toy works and comes with original key. Features separate die-cut tin figure of Mickey as the driver. Tiny scattered traces of paint wear. Tires have normal and typical aging with a few minor hairlines. VF. Rarely found boxed.
