Item Description
7.5x10.5x1.5" deep box contains six different 7.25"x10" puzzles by Saalfield copyright 1940. Boxed set #1515. Box has lt. scattered aging/dust soiling, corner tip wear. One split corner on lid. A small area of surface paper loosening from cardboard on top. Box tray is tight and clean. Box is Fine. Each puzzle features choice action scene art. Of the six puzzles we show here, three are complete and two are missing one piece and one is missing two pieces. Puzzle with Superman catching falling columns, one corner piece is missing. Superman racing train puzzle has two missing edge pieces. Superman lifting tank puzzle has one missing edge piece. Complete puzzles are Superman vs. submarine, Superman vs. plane (one piece torn) and Superman rescuing girl. Images are early Superman comic cover images. Puzzles have scattered small and light traces of aging. Puzzles have some light wear with a few pieces having cracks/creases which do not greatly detract from images. Overall set is Fine. Rare and the nicest of the Saalfield puzzle sets.
