17x23.5" on thick paper. Image shows a refined Henry Clay in an office/study looking off and pointing w/a document at his desk. Below the portrait, test reads "Engraved by J. Sartain, From Original Drawings And Daguerreotypes." Below that, text reads "Henry Clay" w/facsimile signature directly above. 1853. Scattered edge tears and moderate edge wear, w/trace of soiling, mostly relegated to the margins. Technically VG but will frame to display VF. A large and impressive portrait of one of the key political figures of Antebellum America.
