Item Description
12.25x19.5" on thin coarse stock. Image of Ohio National Guardsmen advancing towards unseen protestors w/text at top right "Kent State University May 4th, 1970". Well flattened diagonal bend and pin hole in each corner. Fine. Powerfully stark photo is from moments before troops fired on demonstrating students resulting in four deaths and wounding nine. The event was a turning point in public opinion about the role of the US in the Vietnam war.
