Item Description
11x17" on thin paper. Additional text "Chicago Conspiracy vs. Washington Kangaroos" and "Opening Day Sept 24, 1969 At The Chicago Grass Courts Adams And Dearborn." Graphic of Chicago police officer attacking a protestor during the infamous 1968 Democratic National Convention at center. Well flattened horizontal fold at center. Otherwise light corner and handling wear. VF. Scarce. Produced for protests at the start of the trial, that then included an eighth figure, Black Panther Party Chairman Bobby Seale. After four weeks of disrupting the proceedings, Hoffman had armed US Marshals bound and gag Seale for two days before severing him from the trial and sentencing him to four years of prison for 16 counts of contempt.
