Item Description
4.25x5.5x.25" thick with the entire piece having a very slightly convex front and very slightly concave reverse which holds original cardboard insert with brass hanging loop near top edge. The front, over the brass metal, has a very thin layer of muted gold leaf largely intact but with small loss on highest areas at forehead, cheek, jaw and necklines. Still areas with and without finish blend very well. We found a Lelands Auction record where they sold the 45 lb. iron mold used to produce these wall plaques, but this is the only  finished product example we know of which was produced shortly after his 1910 victory. VF. Rare. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
