Item Description
11x14" on thin paper. Aside from serving as Kentucky's Governor and U.S. Senator, he was also the 2nd Commissioner of Major League Baseball. As Commissioner he approved the Jackie Robinson contract integrating baseball.  Text reads "Carry On With Franklin D. Roosevelt; A. B. 'Happy' Chandler". Some scattered creasing and moderate handling and edge wear. Trace of soil. Fine. Likely from the 1934 midterms for Chandler's successful gubernatorial campaign. Scarce. Bob Westerman Collection.
