Nintendo game cartridge. Super Mario 64 is the highest selling video game on Nintendo 64 with over 11 million copies sold worldwide and is marked as the best-selling Nintendo 64 game. The main goal of the game is to collect the 120 Power Stars. Produced and Directed by Mario's creator, Shigeru Miyamoto, the game marks the first of many 3D titles in the Super Mario series. It essentially started a new genre: the 3D platformer.
