Item Description
This coin was minted by the U.S. Mint in .999 Fine Gold, is 1.3" in diameter and has a total mintage of 300. The obverse features a seated Lady Liberty, 13 stars and the date of 1876. The reverse features a majestic bald eagle w/"United States Of America" above and "100 Dollars" below. The coins design came from drawings in a recently discovered sketch book produced by George T. Morgan, famous for the design of the Morgan Silver Dollar. The sketches represented perhaps the grandest American coin ever proposed, the $100 Union. Comes w/wooden display box and COA.
