Item Description
8.5x11" white paper sheet printed in blue at left that shades gradually to red at right. Handbill announces "Nobody For President In 1976 Victory Rally" Nov. 2 at New York City's Dag Hammarskjold Plaza. Entertainment features listed are "Wavy Gravy & Nobody Will Speak!" plus music by The Hog Farm and a "Surprise Band." Comes with photocopy of New York Times article describing the event and quoting Wavy Gravy. Also comes with 4-page photocopy from "Yipster Times" describing activities of Youth International Party at 1976 Kansas City GOP convention in addition to details on the "Nobody For President" campaign. Article has many photos and is titled "Yippies Flip Rocky, Rocky Flips The Bird" in reference to an encounter with Nelson Rockefeller. Handbill is rare limited issue for the event since the New York Times article states attendance was "Fourteen Adults, One Baby, Three Dogs And One Chicken." "Nobody" buttons were sold at event.
