Item Description
2.5x3.5". The 1971 Topps set consists of 233 cards. Card fronts bear a color image set against a colorful backdrop. The otherwise white-bordered card identifies the team in large letters at the top edge with the player name and position noted at the bottom edge. The backs reveal statistical and biographical data. Subsets include NBA Playoffs (#s 133-137), NBA Statistical Leaders (#s 138-143) and ABA Statistical Leaders (#s 146-151).

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, born Ferdinand Lewis Alcindor Jr, is an American former professional basketball player who played 20 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Lakers. During his career as a center, Abdul-Jabbar was a record six-time NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP), a record 19-time NBA All-Star, a 15-time All-NBA Team member, and an 11-time NBA All-Defensive Team member. He was a member of six NBA championship teams as a player and two more as an assistant coach, and was twice voted NBA Finals MVP. Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, jabbar was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall Of Fame in 2006.
