Item Description
2-1/16x3-1/8". Bowman Gum's 1951 Football set consists of 144 pieces. Each card front features a colorized design of a player with his name printed in a rectangle at the lower corner. A team mascot or logo rests atop the name. The set is anchored by numerous stars and HOF'ers as well as by the rookie cards of Weldon Humble (#1), Norm Van Brocklin (#4), Tom Landry (#20) and Emlen Tunnell (#91).

Norman Mack Van Brocklin, nicknamed "The Dutchman", was an American football quarterback and coach who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 12 seasons. He spent his first nine seasons with the Los Angeles Rams and was a member of the Philadelphia Eagles during his final three. Following his playing career, he was the inaugural head coach of the Minnesota Vikings from 1961 to 1966 and the second head coach of the Atlanta Falcons from 1968 to 1974. Some career highlights include nine Pro Bowls, an  NFL MVP in 1960 and a two time NFL Champion. Sammy Baugh was inducted into the Pro Football Hall Of Fame in 1971.
