Item Description
2.5x3.5". The Topps 1982 Football set consists of 528 cards. For the first time, the NFL permitted the card manufacturer to reproduce official team logos on their product, eliminating the long-standing need to remove team identities from photos. As a result, each card features a team helmet at the lower left corner with the player's name and position identified within a color banner at the lower right corner. The reverse of each item presents player statistics and highlights. Subsets include record breakers (#s 1-6), playoffs (#s 7-9), league leaders (#s 257-262) and brothers (#s 263-270).
Lawrence Julius Taylor, nicknamed "L.T.", is an American former professional football player who spent his entire career as an outside linebacker for the New York Giants (1981-1993) in the National Football League (NFL). Taylor is widely regarded as one of the greatest linebackers and one of the greatest defensive players of all time. Some career highlights include ten visits to the Pro Bowl, an NFL MVP in 1986 and two Super Bowl championships. Lawrence Taylor was inducted into the Pro Football Hall Of Fame in 1999.
