Item Description
2.5x5x4.75" tall tin litho toy w/built-in key comes in triangular box nicely illustrated. 1950s by T.P.S., Japan. Box features illustrations of different animals in a barber shop. Lt. box wear and aging, two .5" edge tears. VF. Toy depicts cat as a barber shaving a rabbit who is in the barber chair. Cat wears an apron and has pocket monogrammed w/"B" that holds scissors and a comb. In his hands he holds a shaving brush and straight razor. The rabbit has a towel covering his upper body. Toy works and cat moves both arms as if lathering and shaving the rabbit while the cat's head moves side to side. The cat's ears are vinyl. N. Mint. Scarce and one of the classic T.P.S. windups.
