Item Description
2.5x3.5". The 1986 Fleer Basketball set consists of 132 cards (which included one checklist card). Issued in wax packs, cards bore a straightforward red-white-and-blue-bordered photo design. Every pack also held a "Photo Sticker" insert. Rookie cards include those of Michael Jordan (#57), plus future Hall of Famers Charles Barkley, Clyde Drexler, Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone, Hakeem Olajuwon and Dominique Wilkins. Star cards, such as the Wilkins rookie, and commons, like Johnny Moore (#76), became hot commodities ... the result of the focus on condition. The 1986 Fleer Basketball Card set is considered by many to be the greatest and most important Basketball set ever released.
Jacques Dominique Wilkins is an American former professional basketball player who primarily played for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Wilkins was a nine-time NBA All-Star, a seven-time All-NBA Team member and is widely viewed as one of the most acrobatic slam dunkers in NBA history, earning the nickname "the Human Highlight Film". Wilkins led the NBA in scoring in the 1985-86 season. Wilkins was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall Of Fame in 2006.
