Item Description
3x7.75". Cloth. Features a Democratic rooster standing on a dead raccoon w/text reading "Who-kil'd-de-coo-n?" Below are the states that Cleveland won in the 1884 match-up against James Blaine, including NY, NJ, IN, CT, and "a Solid South", along w/the "219 Electoral Votes" Cleveland won. At the bottom of the ribbon is an apocryphal quote supposedly uttered by Blaine, saying "Burn These Returns". Ribbon has moderate edge wear and even age toning. A few scattered creases and some light staining, most notably at the bottom of the ribbon underneath the quote. Fine. Great graphics and full of information regarding the 1884 election.
