Item Description
2.5x3.5". The 1985-86 Topps hockey set is a 165 card release with 66 shingle print cards reminiscent to Topps 1984-85 issuance. The cards show a full-color photograph of the player on the ice with his name printed boldly at the bottom  next to his position and his team's logo highlighted within the white perimeter border in the upper portion. Each back reveals his career statistics and personal information printed in blue against a primarily reddish-pink background. This set is a near mirror image of the 1985 O-Pee-Chee hockey set aside from the fact that the Canadian version also the player information on the reverse printed in French as well.

Mario Lemieux  is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played parts of 17 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Pittsburgh Penguins between 1984 and 2006, and he assumed ownership of the franchise in 1999. Nicknamed "The Magnificent One", "Le Magnifique" and "Super Mario" after the fictional character of the same name, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. A gifted playmaker and fast skater despite his large size, Lemieux often beat defencemen with fakes and dekes. Some career highlights include being a four time Lester B. Pierson award winner, a two time Stanley Cup winner and at the time of his retirement was the seventh all-time point scorer in NHL history. Mario Lemieux was elected to the Hockey Hall Of fame in 1997.
