15x29x4" deep box contains what we believe to be a nearly complete playset #4745 c. 1961. Box shows wear, lid was split along top hinge and has been reattached w/cardboard reinforcement on interior. Lid has scattered large moisture stains, scattered edge wear includes one corner split which has been reinforced on interior, pair of 1" missing pieces at left edge as well as 1.5" piece missing from the top left side corner. Box does contain the cardboard insert divider panels. Overall Good but still displayable. The tin litho mansion is complete w/two chimneys and support wire and most halves appear to have never been bent. Has portico for the mansion. There are 25 Union soldiers in blue in 11 different poses and 25 Confederate soldiers in gray in 12 different poses. Has four character figures in cream of Abraham Lincoln, Gen. Grant, Gen. Lee. There are three horses including one fallen. There are wheeled spring-loaded cannons in both black and silver, both are complete w/10 shells each and even come w/sprues they were removed from. Other accessories are American and Confederate flags w/poles and bases, three-piece stationary trench mortar, two sections of crossed stake barricades, stack of mortar balls, two broken wagon wheels, shallow tub, barrel, two buckets, drum w/scrap, table w/two cups, keg w/legs, two three-legged stools, two rifle stack, rifle crate, square crate, bedroll w/strap, sandbag in placement, lawn hitching boy ornament. Has the original instruction sheet which has tanned and center has 1" and 4" tears. Has nine original paper bags which vary in condition from Good to VF. The entire set, building, figures and all accessories, are in choice condition, overall Exc. to N. Mint.
