Item Description
7.5". Features a striking head-on portrait of Zachary Taylor in his military uniform. Below him is a quote reading "I shall continue to devote all my energies to the public good, looking for my reward to the consciences of pure motives, and to the final verdict of impartial history." Even age toning w/scattered faint staining, most notably along the left edge. Otherwise moderate surface wear and handling. Fine. An incredible survivor from the 1848 campaign. John Hillhouse Collection.
