Item Description
4.25" dia. to 8.5x11". "Member California Delegation Your Host 1960" cardstock disk w/applied glossy name sticker "Arthur Chinn" used for the 1960 Democratic National Convention that nominated John F. Kennedy. Badge features cartoon donkey and has clear tape on reverse as issued. Given the construction and intended use these badges are rare survivors. Typical minor edge wear and faint age. Exc. Also included are 1960 DNC ephemera: "Official" cardstock car tag (handling wear, Fine); "Symington For President Committee" invite "To Visit Convention Headquarters" at the "Los Angeles Biltmore" noting "Present This Card For A Valuable Free Souvenir Of The 1960 Democratic National Convention" (corner wear and minor handling, VF); form letter inviting Delegates and Alternates to a brunch hosted by American Socialite Perle Mesta (folds and handling wear, Fine) and a Welcome letter on "California Democratic Delegation" letterhead to all members of the California Delegation (creases and small loss at top left, VG).
