Item Description
Pair of 2-1/8" die-cut stiff celluloid sheets joined by a brass rivet that allows them to swivel open plus w/diecut slot which once held a leather strap. Front panel has both English and Japanese text plus company name "Oriental S.S. Co." Tiny text reads "Between San Francisco, China & Japan." Beautifully colored flag at center as if being viewed through the open area of a life preserver. Reverse is in equally superb color and designed as an open porthole window w/full color depiction of steamship at center. Rim of porthole is captioned "The Pride Of The Pacific." Interior ownership lines have been neatly filled out in ink w/name and address of a "St. Louis, Missouri" resident.
