Item Description
From same series as #2209-13. 3x4-3/8" w/10 numbered single-sided pages. Published in early 1940s. Unusual format for this type of publication. Titled "Joe Louis-The Pride Of Harlem." Story deals w/famous boxer going for a stroll, meeting woman and engaging in sexual activity. They are later broken up by Louis' manager who then takes over. Art for book is in era stereotypical style for African-Americans. Dust soiling to covers and a pinch crease. Back cover has some rust soiling at staple o/w Exc. From the Hake collection.
